Republicans

by freedomisnotfree @ 13/07/2008 - 18:15:00

One thing i despise is Republican Propaganda. I was searching for some of their campaign films and found a few.

This link is to one about his links with criminals in Chicago and because he bought a house across the road from a man who was convicted of Corruption. There is obviously no evidence of Obama and this other male being involved in criminal activities as something would have happened someone explain why the Republicans are stupidly sinking low to this level?

Both sides are doing it. Have you seen some of the lies being told about McCain? Equally shocking and equally absurd. Boyj sides are equally guilty of smearing the other side and failing to discuss the issues enough. It's a huge stain on the honour of America that this charade of democracy has to be completely devalued by the stupid shenanigans that are done to gain victory.

Both sides are bad but the Republicans are worse. Their trying to indirectly link Obama with Bin Laden. They keep repeating that Obama has Muslim links. Like this should matter! The colour of his skin, his age, has religion, none of that should matter in any vote!

I don't agree with you at all. Both sides are morally bankrupt and will apparently say anything that makes the opposition look bad. McCain has been portrayed as a weak-minded anti-American traitor who made propaganda videos for the Vietnamese and shopped his own POW colleagues.

It's all nonsense and it beats me why the American people put up with it. It costs hundreds of millions of dollars to choose a president, and each one is the same as the previous one. It's a massive, completely undemocratic con that the people have completely fallen for.

I agree with you completely and it is the working class people who are being conned. IS it untrue then that in order to save himself he did not grass on fellow POW who were planning an escape? Did he not refuse to leave his fellow men when he was offered an early release for making propaganda tapes?

I've just had a thought that i have temporarily had enough of American
politics. Its too pathetic to think about because, you are right, they are as bad as each other. 1 thing i have noticed is that it is a lot easier to come across Democratic Propaganda on news reports outside the US than to find Republican as many people believe that if Barack Obama became President he will create history and not only be the first Black President but he will, hopefully, end White American rule.

Perhaps McCain really did do that, I don't know. But choosing to make that an important issue in a presidential election is, to say the least, interesting. It's fair to say that there will be another side to those allegations.

The internet is a great levelling force that, if used well, gives a more accurate picture than the usual media do. I believe what you say that Dem propaganda is more usually located on traditional media. I'm not sure what that means, but I do know that searching the internet gives a more complete picture.

The most disturbing fact in all this for me is the sham of democracy that we see. A choice is made between 2 things. You go A or B. And A and B are at least 90% similar. What sort of choice is that?

I agree but anywhere in the world during an election, the opposition will do anything to try gain an advantage, its, sadly, just what happens. McCain will probably try to talk louder about him being a true American War Hero but your guess is as good as mine.

Searching the net does give a much wider picture but on news channel websites they seem to focus more in favour of Obama and less for McCain, whether this is just coincidence or just the British media I'm not sure but i do know that the world would prefer Obama.

The smaller parties have been portrayed as anti-American for so long that people believe it completely. Any left or centre parties are still portrayed as "Commies" by "back bench" Right Wingers as we would probably know them.
